I have been a guitar player since I was 9, or about 40 years. I've been a woodworker and professional furniture maker for more than half of that time. When woodworking became my passion and then my job, playing the guitar took a back seat. This lasted for about 10 years. I barely played or thought about the guitar. One day I decided that I was going to build one in effort to rekindle my love for the instrument. I worked in a furniture shop for a guy who built classical and flamenco instruments on the side. He gave me a really nice set of rosewood for the back and sides and a friend in violin school gave me a nice sitka spruce billet. I made an OM sized acoustic mostly in the evenings after my wife and newborn daughter went to bed. It's not perfect by any means, but it sounds great and plays damn nice for a first attempt. I was hooked, and started the next one very soon after. It wasn't until a friend introduced me to the Crimson Guitars channel that I considered building electrics. I also had not played electric guitar since college. My daughter joined her first band and we went shopping, and I got the itch. I had some fine wood in my collection that I used to build my first single cut LP style guitar. Next I built a Fender Meteora style offset for my now very musical daughter. I've been acquiring guitar top woods like it's my new career lol.

This will be electric build number 3 for me. I've got this killer buckeye burl top and some nicely figured mahogany for the body. It's going to be a carved top, multi laminate, neck through body-somewhere between Wolfgang and Jaguar land. Hardware will include a fixed Hipshot bridge and tuners, Fishman Fluence modern humbucker pups.
